Guitar World Magazine App Reviews

The magazine is on newsstands a full week before the digital version. Why the delay? Distribution is cheaper and easier so why not push people toward the on-line version. Will not renew unless this is corrected.

Terrible app first you buy a year subscription on the guarantee that all issues can be used on all devices. All I did was upgrade from iPhone 4 to 5. Now theyve revoked every issue Ive owned and revoked the 3 I have left for subscription. Its been two weeks of diverting emails and apple support still wont help with the issue. Do not buy unless you like throwing money away and being taken advantage of!

Worst app ever, its been downloading for over a month.

Am I the only one thats having download problems? Downloads fine on my iPhone 4 (iOS 6), but hangs FOREVER on my iPad (3rd Gen; iOS 6). Ive tried all the suggested "fixes" and theyre all crap. None of them work. This has been going on for well over a month now. Seriously, can you guys get your sh•t together and fix this?!?!

Paid for the 1 year sub and now cant get issues to download!!!! Unable to get a relevant reply from customer service. Buyer beware!!! I want a refund!!!

Why hasnt there been an iPhone 5 update yet? This is ridiculous.

I had to have my iPad 2 replaced and since then I havent been able to download any of the new issues. I paid for a full years subscription, but due to some glitch in the app that nobody seems to know how to fix, I cant read any of the issues that I PAID FOR!!!! I want a refund!

How can I get excited about whats in a magazine if I Cant See whats in the magazine?! Seriously, you can read the cover. Why would I just by a magazine blind? Great iPad with a retina display and the preview, which is suppose to isnt ice me to by the magazine, looks like a blurred mess? Well at least the mags look as ugly as the app.

I wrote the comments below a year ago. Sadly, they still apply today… —— Why does the digital version of this magazine come about a week after the print version arrives at my local B&N? The print version has to be printed, packaged for mailing, shipped, unpackaged at the bookstore, then put on the rack. I subscribe to plenty of magazines that have to add multimedia that still manage to get the magazine out the same day its available in print.

Dont waste your money. They say there is tutorial app but it doesnt exist. You only get the magazine..

This application was literally "rocking my world" LOL but really this is a great app and I considered one of my favorite apps the app never crashed and was always letting me get into it and always reading great literature thank you to the app creators in please download this I surely recommend this to all Guitar fans and all Guitar people in general please download this app immediately and have fun rocking thank you app creators and thank you people who download it have a wonderful day✌️

I just downloaded this app, and where there should be video links to product reviews, they tell you to check out the video review on the web. Why use the app then?

If you really want to read GW on an iPad, then buy a separate iPad for each copy you download. (Forget the iPhone version as the issues are unreadable on the small screen.) If instead you want Guitar World with a good user face, then your only option is to buy the print version. With the print version, you can clip the tabs you like for convenient use, quickly flip through the issue to find that page that grabs you, and keep multiple copies on hand for easy reference. NONE of this is possible with this clunky app. It is dreadful. On top of that, new issues cost $8 each, yet you get less than what the print version offers. I gave the app 2 starts instead of 1 because no matter what your taste is, GW always has content to offer. But the app version is a huge disappointment.

Since downloading ios8 I cannot get any downloaded magazine to open. Please fix this!!!

I used to like this app, now I cant read the magazines on my subscription because it doesnt work with IOS 8. Not Happy At All!

Still not updated to iOS8... Canceling my subscription before it wastes any more of my money.

I paid for a subscription and now it wont let me open any issues. Hope this gets fixed soon, else I guess just cancel.

Worked great until ios 8 came along. Now every time I open an issue it crashes. Worst part, I paid for a year subscription. What a rip off!
