Why the delay for the digital version?

I wrote the comments below a year ago. Sadly, they still apply today…

Why does the digital version of this magazine come about a week after the print version arrives at my local B&N? The print version has to be printed, packaged for mailing, shipped, unpackaged at the bookstore, then put on the rack.

I subscribe to plenty of magazines that have to add multimedia that still manage to get the magazine out the same day its available in print.
